I keep seeing ‘em! Cars capable of speeds of over 80 mph. Where in the world are there speed limits that make these machines drivable? Sometimes I thing the builders and their sales departments are lost in the ’60′s, still competing for a dollar long gone. What er really need is a car that gets phenomenal gasoline mileage, and this will prove to be even more valid as Asians competed for a fixed world’s supply of gasoline and the price rises, even beyond the purchasing power of the U.S. Dollar and into the ethereal realms of the much more powerful Chinese Yuan.
America must choose her fuels for the future very carefully, and right now, compressed natural gas/hybrid electric, for cars is not far off, and the future, for practicalities sake, holds nuclear/electric, bullet train networks and their associated infrastructures, to replace cars and planes,as oil becomes scarcer, too expensive to compete, with even the lowly Thorium bed reactors of Indian design, or even the Tsinghua Universities’ high efficiency low waste reactors.
America has no large exploitable oil fields left! Americans must learn to adapt, convert, to Solar, Wave, Wind, Hydro, Tidal, Geothermal, Nuclear – all electricity sources! None produce liquid fuels! Bio-mass can produce even a diesel like fuel, as can the fermentation of humanure, as is already done in Sweden and Norway, where city buses are fueled on compressed methane from bio-digesters fed eve with city sewage resource flows! Yankee Doodle, from his arrogant high horse, seems to feel that polluting his drinking water with his own sewage is the better course of action over reducing his foreign oil bill by retrieving methane and valuable top-soil building sludge from it. Even as valuable farmlands are being salted and burnt out from artificial fertilizers, never to produce again, Yankee Doodle pumps his valuable resource flow into lakes, rivers, streams and down seashores , ruining them too! Without the Socialist force of at least five year plans, and living from election promise to election promise, in the Corporatist, Capitalist, fashion – election to election promises only, lower taxes only, black ink bottom lines only, the greatest bread basket the world has ever known is reduced to burnt out fields, polluted waterways, asphalt jungles, deteriorating cities(see Detroit City photos on this same net!) crumbling economies – even California suffers, rusting infrastructures, retreating middle classes, fading industries – see the rust belt, and the lack of foresight that caused it, corrupt banksters laws – the crashing markets, the devalued dollar, the rape of Iceland, the rush of American earned capital to Asian markets for the building of ultra-modern factories, failure of GM(America) and the socialism of bail out money for them, watch closely now as we sink deeper and deeper following the laws of Capitalism, Corporatism, our very Democracy failing, tarnished, perverted, greedy, and dying, even as we fill our pockets with devalued, shrinking, manipulated, fiat dollars as fast as we can. And: We insist on motor-cars that can exceed all speed limits, all logic, for a safe secure, sustainable lifestyle for ourselves and our children, our nation and our neighbors. We demand manufacturers appeal to our hormone driven base desires over the sane sensible adult and responsible requirements for a clean, happy and large Middle Class in a democracy designed for sustainability and environmental sanity, and smaller less environmentally offensive toys for the boys! We need rechargeable battery cars of ultra light weight and smaller dimensions, less fat assed body weight to cart around, and shorter distances required for personal transport, as the social engineering in China is aiming for, not huge gasoline guzzling, high speed racing cars like these, plaguing our over-crowded, poorly designed, poorly maintained highways. America needs to grow up a bit!
